PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens that offers compactness, good aberration correction over an entire zoom range, and high optical performance.SOLUTION: A zoom lens comprises a first lens group Ghaving negative refractive power, a second lens group Ghaving positive refractive power, and a third lens group Ghaving positive refractive power arranged in order from the object side, and is configured to zoom in and out by changing distance between the lens groups along an optical axis. The second lens group Gcomprises a positive lens L, an aperture stop STP that defines a predetermined aperture diameter, a negative lens L, and a positive lens Larranged in order from the object side. The third lens group Gcomprises a negative lens L, a positive lens L, and a positive lens Larranged in order from the object side.
