PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily surround a character string with a frame line without performing a complicated operation when inserting and deleting the character string inside or outside a frame or when copying the character string in the frame. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a keyboard operating part 5, printing part 6 and CPU 1. In this case, processing for applying frame attributes to an inputted character and surrounding the character, to which the frame attributes are applied with the frame is performed by the CPU 1 and when the characters to which the frame attributes are applied, are mutually adjacent, adjacent character groups are processed so as to be surrounded with one frame by regarding them as one group and the characters surrounded by the frame are displayed or printed. |
