PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an accelerating agent for mortar or concrete with delayed operating time enabling highly safe and economical spraying work because of securing good adherability, to obtain quick-setting mortar or concrete containing the above agent, and to provide a spraying work using the quick- setting mortar or concrete. SOLUTION: This accelerating agent for setting retarder-contg. mortar or concrete comprises an accelerating ingredient and a thickening agent; wherein the setting retarder comprises an organic acid, a naphthalenesulfonic acid-based high-performance water reducing agent and a slaked lime-contg. matter. The 2nd objective quick-setting mortar or concrete comprises mortar or concrete and the above accelerating agent. The 3rd objective spraying work comprises using the above quick-setting mortar or concrete which is prepared by compounding mortar or concrete with the above-mentioned accelerating agent prepared by mixing an accelerating agent with a thickening agent.
