PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen device which is capable of securing communication, while keeping the mutual eye contacts between both subscribers when it is used as a visual telephone screen by using a main camera that is placed at the back side of the screen the fetches the images existing in the front of the screen through a window formed on the screen. SOLUTION: A screen 12 has a window 16, i.e., a small opening almost at its center, and a main camera 18 is placed inside the window 16 and at the back side of the screen 12 via a lens barrel 17. Then by having an optical image which exists in the front of the screen 12 fetched through the window 16, an image can be photographed as if it were the field of view of an object. The window 16 can be moved to an arbitrary position of the image via the movements of both screen 12 and camera 18. Thus, the window 16 can always be tracked at a prescribed position of the object or at an inconspicuous position, so that communication with enhanced sense of presence is made possible. |
