<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the hierarchical structure of a menu to be indicated on an indication panel most suitable for the improvement of operability by including alternation means to alter the content of an operational menu to be indicated by indication means in accordance with detection results done by detection means. SOLUTION: If no automatic cutter is connected, it is impossible for the use of the automatic cutter, therefore, no operational menu M1 is indicated for the execution of setting having a premise of the use of the automatic cutter [the setting of cut distance (cut-distance setting) or the distance of cutting (cut-distance)]. Instead of this, an operational menu M2 is indicated in order for setting as to how long recording is done on continuous paper and, after that, setting as to how long nor recording is done thereon. At the operational menu M2, the length thereof is indicated as the distance of partition (partition distance setting) or the distance of partition (partition distance), and the like. Accordingly, in accordance with the mounting state of the automatic cutter, the content of the operational menu to be indicated on LCD can be altered dynamically.</p> |
