PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To report caller identification information to a mobile station and to enable a user to confirm it, even when a radio communication link cannot be established between a base station and the mobile station. SOLUTION: When a call originating number is inserted to an incoming signal coming from a public network IN, at base stations CS1-CSm, this call. originating number is replaced with the memory number of small digits, based on telephone directory information previously copied and registered from the mobile station, and this memory number is transmitted while being inserted in the empty area of a call-in message. When the call-in message addressed to the present station has arrived, at mobile stations PS1-PSn, the memory number is extracted from this call-in message, a telephone directory memory is accessed, and the name and telephone number of a communicating party stored at a storage position expressed by this memory number are read out and displayed on an LCD. |
