<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the DCT operation speed by selectively combining every two columns of coefficient matrix, which includes cosine coefficients having the same absolute value and different signs, to execute the butterfly computation plural times and multiplying an input values and coefficients after making absolute values of cosine coefficients different from one another. SOLUTION: This system consists of a data input part 11, a data separation part 12, a butterfly computation part 13, an integration part 14, and a postprocessing part 15. In this constitution, even two columns of the coefficient matrix where coefficients having the same absolute value and different signs are included by combination of coefficients of cosine are selectively combined to perform the butterfly operation for a required number of times in the butterfly computation part 13. After the butterfly operation is executed the required number of times in the butterfly computation part 13 to make the absolute values of the cosine coefficients different from one another, the input values and coefficients are multiplied in the integration part 14. Thus, the integration volume is reduced, and the DCT operation speed is increased.</p> |
