<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent density irregularities resulting from individual differences of record characteristics when images are recorded by correctly detecting record characteristics of each solid recording element in an image-recording apparatus having a plurality of solid recording elements arranged and driven in accordance with correction data, thereby recording images. SOLUTION: Each of a predetermined count of continuous solid recording elements among solid recording elements is let to record pixels on the basis of a predetermined pattern data, and a test pattern is read by a CCD 201. Further, record characteristics of each solid recording element are obtained on the basis of a ratio of the count of solid recording elements recording the pixels in accordance with the pattern data to a count of pixels of the read test pattern.</p> |
