The invention relates to an ice fishing rod and, in particular, the invention relates to a spool solution for an ice fishing rod. The ice fishing rod (100) comprises a space (116) for connecting a separate fishing line spool (106) to the ice fishing rod. A pin (108) can be provided in said space (116), on which the separate fishing line spool (106) can be mounted. The ice fishing rod may also comprise a crank handle (112), the crank handle (112) being removably mountable on said pin (108) in order to fasten the separate fishing line spool (106) into said space (116)/to release it out of said space (116). The present invention may allow a fishing line to be easily replaced with a new one, also in difficult circumstances. |
