Disclosed are a gateway apparatus for interlocking a heterogeneous middleware and a quality-of-service (QoS, hereinafter referred to as QoS) converting method thereof. The gateway apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a high level architecture (HLA, hereinafter referred to as HLA) federate module; a data distribution service (DDS, hereinafter referred to as DDS) participant module; and a QoS management unit for managing a QoS property value convertible between the HLA federate module and the DDS participant module, and for providing the DDS participant module with a QoS property value for setting a QoS property. The gateway apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention can be utilized in various application fields to which a structure having a DDS middleware and a HLA middleware interlinked therein is applied.
