PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a skin preparation of external use, having excellent cell activating effect and useful for improving external injuries, chaps, cracks, etc., and for stimulating the healing of wound. SOLUTION: This preparation is composed of (A) kojic acid and/or its derivative and (B) an extract of pearl protein. A compounding ratio of the component A is 0.0001-5wt.%, preferably 0.01-3wt.%, and that of the component B is 0.001-20wt.%, preferably 0.01-10wt.%, each based on the total composition. Further, the component A is preferably a compound of the formula (R<1> and R<2> are each H, a 3-22C acyl or an alkyl). The component B is preferably a water extract of a protein hydrolysate obtained by subjecting fine powder of e.g. a shell of Pinctada martensii or a pearl to a chemical treatment. |
