PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decontamination method of a tank in which a pollution substance amount in the tank storing polluted water is effectively reduced.SOLUTION: A decontamination method of a tank includes the steps of: transferring polluted water from the K-th tank of tanks T1 to Tn of a n group (n is equal to or more 2) storing polluted water to the k-th+1 tank (the first tank or another tank when k is n); discharging the polluted water of the k-th+1 tank after this transferring step so as to be purified by purification facility; introducing the purified water after the purifying step into the k-th tank so as to come into contact with a tank inner surface; and discharging the storage water of the k-th tank after the introducing step to the k-th+1 tank or the other tank.
