A screen shaped panel fire door 1 or gate 5 consisting of a box formed from two angle covering panels 6, 7 which, on its interior, is furnished with at least one piece of reinforcement. To construct such a panel door or gate 5 with light weight as well as great rigidity, it is proposed that the reinforcement element consists of a number of strips 12 of paper or cardboard the width of which corresponds to the opening 11 of the box and which are glued together along their greatest width at intervals in such a way as to be glued in a capsular mesh structure 13 which can be tautened and, in this state, the face side of the strips 12 can be glued to the covering panels 6, 7. |
