PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide vehicle communication equipment which can determine an abnormality in a short-range communication unit with high accuracy.SOLUTION: The vehicle communication equipment includes: a narrow area communication unit 31 which receives, from a peripheral vehicle having a Bluetooth communication unit 34 and a NFC communication unit 35, a communication performance index for use in the self-vehicle, representing the performance of the Bluetooth communication unit 34 and the NFC communication unit 35; and a control unit 37. The control unit 37 includes: a reference value set unit which successively sets a reference value which is the criterion of the communication performance index, on the basis of the communication performance index received from each of a plurality of peripheral vehicles; an acquisition unit which acquires the communication performance index of a target narrow area communication unit, which includes the Bluetooth communication unit 34 and the NFC communication unit 35 of abnormality determination targets; and an abnormality determination unit which determines the abnormality of the target narrow area communication unit, according to the comparison of the reference value, set by the reference value set unit, with the communication performance index of the target narrow area communication unit which is acquired by the acquisition unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
