The invention concerns a device for transmitting and amplifying force for a braking system, comprising a pedal (1) and an output rod (2), and capable of transmitting via its output rod (2), in response to an input force (F1) of a first intensity level exerted on the pedal (1), an output force (F2) of a second intensity level higher than the first. The invention is characterised in that it further comprises an input rod (3) integral with the pedal (1), a primary piston (4) integral with the input rod (3); a primary cylinder (5) of a first diameter (D1) wherein the primary piston (4) defines a primary chamber (51); a secondary piston (6) whereof the output rod (2) is made integral; and a secondary cylinder (7) of a second diameter (D2), larger than the first (D1), wherein the secondary piston (6) defines a secondary chamber (71) communicating with the primary chamber (51).
