<p>The invention concerns a method for controlling and regulating water quantity in a medium which consists in applying a pulsed unidirectional electric field between one or two electrodes inserted in the treated medium with sequential inversion of the generator polarities, whereby a unidirectional potential difference is established by selecting said field orientation by inversion of the generator polarities to modify the direction of the water draining, the aim being to humidify or drain the treated medium. The electrode can consist of a metallic part already present in the medium. The moisture measuring probes and the treating electrodes are inserted in the medium and connected to the electronic power unit which regulates the predetermined water quantity and maintains it by controlling the operation of the generator. The arrangement of the electrodes and moisture measuring probes is related to the medium and the desired result. The electronic power unit regulates the intensity and voltage depending on different media, influential circumstances or modifications occurring therein. The invention is particularly applicable and efficient in agriculture and the building industry.</p> |
