The table-top (2) rests on two folding pairs of legs (4), each of which is mounted on two horizontal bolts (12) on the tabletop underside (3), so that the table can be folded flat when not in use. The assembled table has the legs locked in position by support brackets (6), each of which has one open side (8) for receiving a bolt. The bolts pass through the legs and brackets. The legs can be moved along the bolt in and out of the bracket through its open side. A swing safety catch (13) is provided for at least one of the two brackets in each pair of legs, in order to close the open side of the brackets when the legs are unfolded and lock the legs into position.
