The cutting fork (17) has cutting edges transversal or angular to the longitudinal axis of the operating lever. A collection device (19) is so arranged in the intermediate space of the cutting fork that behind the cutting area of the nail clippers is a container. The collection device comprises two interconnected or separate, spring-loaded or cutting fork-connected container halves completely or partly pushable in one another. A nail file is positioned rotatably on the cutting fork by the connecting bolt (18).
