The linkage system has a metal ring, which is located between a rotary shaft and a rotary body. The ring base (14a) has a number of projecting spring elements (14b) with curved areas (14f) having rectangular openings (14d). The base is attached to the rotary body and the rotary shaft projects inside the ring. The spring elements bend along the periphery of the shaft and exert a frictional grip on the shaft so that the two rotate together. An Independent claim is included for a rotation sensor using the linkage element.
