A method for making chitosan-coated pellets and blocks of seasoning materials including salt, which is an essential ingredient physiologically needed as well as a basic seasoning material for taste, and a variety of food additives such as condiments, spices, and aromatic vinegar. For a seasoning material consisting of a single ingredient, the method includes a primary processing step of forming a raw seasoning material, milled and screened to have a uniform and fine grain size, into pellets, and a secondary processing step of coating chitosan over the pellets. For a seasoning material consisting of mixed ingredients, the method includes a primary processing step of forming a raw seasoning material into blocks, and a secondary processing step of coating chitosan over the blocks while connecting those blocks with one another by the chitosan in such a fashion that they are easily cut from one another. |
