The invention concerns a method which consists in jointly applying a microwave electromagnetic field (10) and a static magnetic field (22) through a solid or liquid material (M1) zone to be heated (Z1). The material (M1) is preferably an ionic material, such as an elastomer containing carbon black and/or organometallic additives. The application of the static magnetic field through the material enables its magnetisation and causes the microwave field magnetic field to interact with the material. Magnetic losses are added to dielectric losses caused by the interaction of the microwave field magnetic field thereby increasing heating efficiency. Said method is particularly adapted, in particular, to elastomer vulcanisation and polymer crosslinking.
|
