Car seat base for seats adjustable in height

The base for a car seat can be slid along rails (20,22). It has a mechanism for the adjustment of height (28,30). It has a cast balancer between the seat base and rail with slightly shorter upper and longer lower part. The lap belt (52) is fixed to the balancer at a connection point (62). Because the lap belt is fixed to the balancer the between the base of the seat and the rail, the seat carrying element can be made of lightweight and recyclable material without losing its strength.
