A fixer plate (4) with the rectilinear guide (3) and fixed in relation to the input and output rollers carries the tension roller (2) on the guide in optional positions. The belt (1) tensioner (7) applies a pretension force to the roller (2) at right angles to the rotation axis and parallel to the slot forming the guide (3). The tensioner itself consists of a sheet which is cut and/or punched out prior to bending, and belt tensioning includes an adjuster set-screw (9) working onto the tensioner threadway to thrust the tensioner against the fixer plate (4) as required. A lock nut (5) fixing the roller (2) to the guide serves as roller rotation axis, carrying the roller through a roller bearing and thus onto the rotating screw (5), assisted by a pair of coaxially fitted spacer disks between bearing and screw. These disks also protect the bearing from dust.
