The cutting process involved making the cut on a corrugation of the tube. The corrugation (10) of the tube (2) is positioned by a first holder (3) with at least one cutter (6) and at least one counter-piece and/or at least one further holder (4, 5) with at least one cutter (7, 8) in the cutting region of at least one of the cutters. The first holder and counter-piece or further holders rotate with the cutter round the tube, which is cut by the cutter.
