<p>A display assembly has two superposed display devices, the upper display device (24) having an LCD cell (28) which can be switched between transparent and diffusive or reflective states by control voltage application. A display assembly has an upper display device (24) with a display cell (28) which can be switched, on control voltage application, between a first transparent state, for viewing of a lower display device (26), and a second information display state. The novelty is that the cell (28) is an LCD cell of diffusive or reflective type in the second state. An Independent claim is also included for a timepiece containing the above display assembly, the lower display device (26) forming the time display and the upper display device (24) extending between the glass (22) and the time display.</p> |
