PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device and an inkjet recording method which can selectively perform a high-speed recording mode or a high-quality recording mode without requiring operation for changing a constitution of a nozzle row.SOLUTION: A head control portion, when 'a high-speed mode' is designated by a mode designation portion, determines all nozzles 42 belonging to nozzle groups 46 with every color to be in an usable range Ru and uses the nozzles to perform discharge control. While, the head control portion, when 'a high-quality mode' is designated, determines an usable range Ru, a part of a nozzle range Rn that the nozzle groups constitute for every color, and uses only nozzles belonging to the usable range Ru to perform discharge control, so as to discharge ink droplets according to a specific order of color at an arbitrary position on a recording medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
