The device includes a chamber (11) and a channel (17) which has an internal volume to house part of the screened cable (29). The electromagnetic seal is maintained at the rear of the chamber and is maintained by a continuous electrical contact around the edge of the channel and chamber by a shoulder (32) and a form of washer (40) which have an exterior circumferential perimeter larger than the interior perimeter of the chamber. The diameter at one end of the chamber is less than that at the end with the channel. The chamber is threaded on its external surface (3) to take a nut to compress the contacts together and has two notches (26,28) to house at least partially two cable clamps.
