Provided are a method for efficiently producing acyloxysilanes which are useful as functional chemicals, acyloxysilanes obtained thereby, and the use thereof. A method for producing acyloxysilanes including a reaction step for reacting alkoxysilanes and a carboxylic anhydride in the presence of a catalyst, the method characterized in that the alkoxysilanes are predetermined alkoxysilanes represented by general formula (I), the carboxylic anhydride is a predetermined carboxylic acid represented by general formula (IIA) or (IIB), the catalyst is an acid catalyst, and the acyloxysilanes obtained in the reaction step are predetermined acyloxysilanes represented by general formula (IIIA) or (IIIB); and the use of acyloxysilanes as a surface treatment agent or the like.
