According to the present invention, treatment for a person whose bone marrow has been destroyed or has lost functional capability, is provided. The method includes the steps of taking bone marrow from a donor, storing the marrow under refrigeration (cryostorage), reproducing the marrow cells (in vitro) and then infusing the reproduced marrow bone cells into the person whose bone marrow has been destroyed or has had its function impaired by disease or the treatment of some disease. The person receiving the infusion of the reproduced bone marrow may be the donor or some other person. A method for the reproduction of bone marrow (in vitro) is also revealed. |
