The invention describes an automatic inflation method used for the inflation of inflatable devices when these come in contact with water (water, the sea or similar natural conditions). A characteristic example of its application is its use in inflatable lifejackets or other inflatable lifesaving devices. The automatic inflation mechanism consists, principally, of a fluid inlet system and a trigger activation mechanism. The trigger activation mechanism consists of the casing 6, the cap 21, the retaining elements 4 and the special device 5 and comprises a spare part for the automatic mechanism which can be changed after each use so that the automatic mechanism can be reused. The fluid inlet system has a sealed air pocket 23 which leads to the inflatable device through its inflation socket 26 and has a facility for opening the fluid valve 7 in the whole spectrum of weather conditions in which the lifesaving device may be used. |
