PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of images under high humidity by coating a photosensitive layer with a specified coating fluid and hardening it by irradiating it with ultraviolet rays in the wavelength region longer than the absorption wavelengths of hardenable acrylic monomer and oligomer and including the absorption regions of benzophenone derivatives. SOLUTION: The protective layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor contains fine conductive particles and the hardenable acrylic monomer and oligomer and a benzoin type polymerization initiator represented by the formula, and the photosensitive layer is coated with the coating fluid containing the nonamino type benzophenone derivative having the absorption region between the absorption peak wavelength of the hardenable acrylic monomer and oligomer and the absorption peak wavelength of the minimum excitation (n,π*) transition of the benzoin type polymerization initiator, and hardened by irradiation with ultraviolet rays in the wavelength region longer than the absorption wavelengths of the hardenable acrylic monomer and oligomer and including the absorption regions of the benzophenone derivatives. In the formula, R<1> is an H atom or a methoxy group; and R<2> is a hydroxy or alkoxy group.
