PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality image of uniformized texture with little roughness while reducing the gradations of image data by performing a multilevel error diffusion processing. SOLUTION: This image processor is provided with a first error diffusion processing part 10 for selectively performing error diffusion to input image data x(i,j) corresponding to the gradation and outputting them and a second error diffusion processing part 20 for performing the error diffusion whose quantization level number is >=3 to the output data of the first error diffusion processing part 10 and outputting them as output image data y(i,j). The selective quantization part 12 of the first error diffusion processing part 10 performs quantization for selectively supplementing errors centering a part where the error is not generated by quantization by the quantization part 22 of the second error diffusion processing part 20. |
