PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve, especially, a recording density with respect to a reproduc ing device and a recorder for an optical record medium for optically recording information. SOLUTION: This recorder has a reproducing means 15 to reproduce information in each sector unit and an error correction circuit 17 to process error correction of information in each block unit, from a record medium 1 on which digital information over plural sectors having plural symbol columns are recorded, and also blocks product-coded by adding a parity according to the successive symbols in each line and each column when the sectors are two- dimensionally arrayed in order of column direction are recorded. A probability of erroneous corrections is made to the minimum, and also handling in each sector unit is made easy. |
