PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate blur of a clean paper and improve fixing properties of the clean paper without providing an extra fixing layer by a method wherein a cationic water-soluble polymer is added in a paper mainly made of natural pulp and a resin prepared by an emulsifying agent, which makes it hard to develop blurring, and a neutralizer, is infiltrated in the paper. SOLUTION: Water-soluble cationic resin dispersions are prepared by emulsion-polymerizing an ethylenic unsaturated monomer and an anionic emulsifying agent made of an ethylenic unsaturated monomer having an sulfate group. By infiltrating the prepared water-soluble cationic resin dispersions in the paper mainly made of natural pulp, a clean paper for ink jet recording is produced. In this clean paper, a water-soluble aliphatic amine as a neutralizer for keeping the long term stability and mechanical stability of the water-soluble resin dispersions or concretely a triethanolamine, isobutanolamine or the like are used. In addition, as an emulsion polymerization initiator, potassium persulfate or the like is used. |
