PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the picture element value of an output picture element in output pictures by interpolation at the time of obtaining all or a part of virtual pictures for which source pictures are coordinate-transformed as the output pictures. SOLUTION: Source pictures are divided into blocks of a prescribed size, the position information of the output picture element (P, Q) in output pictures is obtained based on a coordinate transformation expression. The position information includes information relating to he block position obtained by dividing the source pictures and to a position (g) inside the block. Discrete cosine transformation(DCT) is performed to the block of a corresponding position, and obtained DCT coefficient matrix is used and inverse DCT is performed with a phase angle corresponding to the position inside the block. By such interpolation, the picture element value of the output picture element is obtained. |
