PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable communications terminal equipment having a build-in telephone set and a mechanism which can connect an external telephone set to the equipment to selectively ring the bells of the built-in telephone set and external telephone get. SOLUTION: Since communication terminal equipment is provided with a relay C24 which selects whether or not a main body-side bell 9 is to be rung when a call signal arrives, a relay B23 which selects whether or not the bell of an external telephone section 28 is to be rung, and a system control section 14 which controls the relays C24 and B23, the equipment can select whether the main body-side bell 9 or the bell of the external telephone set 28 is to be rung even when the telephone set 28 is connected to the equipment.
