<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for measuring the quality of paper or sheet which can measure basis weight, moisture content, a coat amount, ash content, etc., simultaneously by utilization of highly safe near infrared region light. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises a light source 10 for emitting a near infrared light, a condensing means 12 for condensing the near infrared light emitted from the light source 10 and casting to an object 30 to be measured, a means 14 for condensing the light passing through the object to be measured, a splitting means 16 for splitting the light condensed by the condensing means 14, a detector 20 for performing spectral analysis of a frequency or wavelength of the light split by the splitting means 16 and a signal-processing part 22 for calculating at least one of basis weight, moisture content, coat amount and ash content of the object to be measured with the use of the spectral analysis of the detector 20.</p> |
