PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an optical scanner capable of preventing an annular rib from being brought into contact with a polygon mirror at the time of fitting a cover provided with the annular rib for covering the polygon mirror to an optical box. SOLUTION: A motor 3 provided with a polygon mirror 4, an image forming lens 5 and a folded mirror 6 are stored in an optical box 1. An aperture part 1f is formed on the upper surface of the box 1 and the aperture part 1f is closed by a cover 7. An annular rib 7a for covering the periphery of the mirror 4 is projected from the rear face of the cover 7. A guide rib 7b is projected from a part near the rib 7a on the rear face of the cover 7. On the other hand, ribs 1b, 1c constituting a groove 1a are projected from the bottom of the box 1. In the case of assembling the cover 7 to the box 1, the guide rib 7b is engaged with the groove 1a before the arrival of the rib 7a at the mirror 4 and the rib 7b is guided by the groove 1a so that the rib 7a is not brought into contact with the mirror 4. |
