PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a testing method capable of performing a test for the heat-insulating property of a heat-insulated container with almost no loss of liquefied gas, simply in a short time. SOLUTION: The amount of penetrated heat Qv[J/h. deg.C.l] of a vacuum heat insulating layer 3 is computed by Qv= (Ta-To)×α×(S/V)}/(Ti-Ta) from the in-vessel temperature Ti[ deg.C] of a metal heat-insulated container (inner container 1, outer container 2) with the vacuum heat insulating layer 3, atmosphere temperature Ta[ deg.C], the heat transfer coefficientα[J/m<2> .h. deg.C] of the surface of the heat insulating container, the in-vessel capacity V[l], and the container surface area S [m<2> ]. In addition, the amount of penetrated heat Q of the overall heat insulating container by adding the amount of penetrated heat Qc due to heat transfer provided by the structure and shape of the container.
