PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive external display device excellent in operability and reduced in energy consumption by deciding the lighting time of an illumination means by a 2nd timer in which longer time is set than that in a 1st timer in an imprinting mode when a 1st operation member is operated in a correction mode. SOLUTION: A display means externally displays various photographing modes of the camera and imprinting data. A 2nd operation part sets an imprinting means to an imprinting mode in which the imprinting data is ready to be imprinted and a correction mode in which the imprinting data is ready to be corrected. In the case of operating a SET switch 444 when the imprinting means is set to the imprinting mode, a CPU 401 decides the lighting time of the display illuminator 454 by the 1st timer. In the case of operating the switch 444 when the correction mode is set, the CPU 401 decides the lighting time of the illuminator 454 by the 2nd timer in which the longer time is set than that in the 1st timer. |
