<p>Machine for the prodn. of hollow sweet casings, by casting a concentrated syrup which sets on cooling, in a mould to be spun on a vertical axis, cooled and emptied, is arranged to charge the moulds before rotation commences, and centrifugal action begins only after the formation of a relatively cool horizontal surface on the syrup. The machine is laid out with an intermittently moving endless conveyor carrying the separate centrifugal moulds in single file or in brackets with a number side by side, under the syrup and trimming dispensers, on to the couplings for the rotation of the moulds, under the outer coating dispensers, through a cooling arrangement to the ejector station and back to starting point; the start and finish of the filling, the drive of the conveyor, the timing arrangement for the spinning of the separate moulds being adjustable in sequence and regulated by control gear. Prevents the production of misshapen castings without complicated centralising and cooling devices.</p> |
