摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accelerator pedal mechanism of a vehicle lowering frictional force on a friction surface as compared with that in the past, decreasing spring tension of a return spring, also simple in structure and reduced in cost. SOLUTION: One end of a pedal rod 12 connected to an accelerator pedal 10 is formed as a free end. A friction generating device 20 having a cylindrical housing as a fixed friction member, movable friction member provided movably in the inside of the housing to always come into contact with the housing, and a friction member return spring energizing this movable friction member in a prescribed direction, is arranged in the free end of the pedal rod. When the accelerator pedal is stepped in, the free end of the pedal rod presses the movable friction member and the friction member return spring, friction between the movable friction member and the housing (fixed friction member) and friction by the friction member return spring are generated. When the accelerator pedal is released, the movable friction member is returned by the friction member return spring.
