PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily and finely adjustable the intervals of respective optical beams in the subscanning direction and to easily realize the cost reduction of an adjusting mechanism. SOLUTION: In the multibeam scanner for arraying respective beams L1 to L4 generated from plural optical beam generation means 1 to 4 in the subscanning direction and scanning a photosensitive drum with the beams L1 to L4 by a polygon mirror 13, the optical beam L1 generated from the means 1 is used as a reference and the means 2 to 4 are supported so as to be moved in the subscanning direction by adjusting means 6 to 8 so that the irradiating directions of respective beams L2 to L4 generated from the means 2 to 4 are displaced to the subscanning direction, one end of a substrate 201 of each adjusting means is used as a supporting point and the other end of the substrate 201 is displaced in a direction approaching or separating to/from a housing 5 by an adjusting screw member 204, so that the subscanning direction positions of the optical beams L2 to L4 formed on the scanning surface of the photosensitive drum can be displaced in the subscanning direction. |
