PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide two-way communication equipment which does not require complicated communication control nor accurate optical axis adjustment and an optical remote controller using the equipment. SOLUTION: Two-way optical communication equipment is constituted by pairing first and second device 3 and 4 and radiates first signals Ls1 composed of circularly polarized light rotated in one direction from the transmitting section TX1 of the first device 3 by using linearly polarizing plates 11A, 11B, 21A, and 21B and 1/4-wave plates 31A, 31B, 41A, and 41B. Then the equipment only receives the circularly polarized light component of the signals Ls1 by means of the receiving section RX2 of the second device 4 and radiates second signals Ls2 composed of circularly polarized light rotated in the opposite direction from the transmitting section TX2 of the second device 4. The receiving section RX1 of the first device 3 only receives the circularly polarized light component of the signals Ls2. |
