PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocoupler having a light-emitting element, photodetector and IC element, wherein a stable light signal can be transmitted from the light-emitting element to the photodetector by avoiding the malfunction of the IC element due to the light from the light-emitting element. SOLUTION: The photocoupler is constituted such that a light-emitting electric element 1 for converting an electrical signal into an light signal, a photodetector 2 for converting that light signal into an electrical signal and at least on IC element 4a, 4b for adding functions to the light-emitting element 1 or the photodetector 2 are disposed on two lead frames 3a, 3b. Then the light-emitting element 1 and the photodetector 2 are disposed respectively on the end faces of the different lead frames 3a, 3b that face opposite to each other, and the IC element 4a, 4b are disposed on a plane of at least either lead frame. |
