PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cleaning liquid from being contaminated with impurities of the heat- transfer plate used for heating/cooling the cleaning liquid and to improve corrosion resistance, purity and impermeability of the plate by using as the heat-transfer plate, that consisting of glassy carbon which is produced with a thermosetting resin having an impurity content of a specified value or lower as the precursor material and has an impurity content of another specified value or lower. SOLUTION: The manufacture of this heat-transfer plate, for example, comprises: molding and curing a liquid thermosetting resin to obtain a cured molded body; and thereafter, subjecting the body to carbonization and high temp. treatment in an inert gas atmosphere to manufacture the objective heat-transfer plate; wherein the impurity content in the thermosetting resin is adjusted to <=95 ppm and the impurity content of the resulting heat-transfer plate is adjusted to <=80 ppm. As the thermosetting resin, a phenolic resin and/or a furan resin can preferably be used and such a resin(s) is preferably produced from materials each having a <=20 ppm impurity content, wherein the materials are constituent materials of the resin(s), however, in addition to the materials, the impurity content in a catalyst(s) used in the resin production is also preferably <=20 ppm. Each of such high purity constituent materials, etc., is prepared by removing fine metal particles and metal ions from the corresponding raw material by filtration or ion exchange. |
