PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To send information denoting the arrival of a call in a automatic answering mode to a prescribed electronic mail address without charging a called party for an automatic answering telephone set. SOLUTION: The electronic mail transmitter connects with a telephone station that sends a caller number before transmission of a call signal. The transmitter is provided with a RAM 47 that stores a message denoting the arrival of a call in the automatic answering mode, its telephone number and an electronic mail address being a transmission destination in cross reference, a number detection circuit 43 that detects a caller number, an electronic mail circuit 49 that sends designated information to a designated electronic mail address through an electronic mail communication network, and a control circuit 45 that allows the electronic mail circuit 49 to send a message to an electronic mail address corresponding to the detected telephone number without hooking off itself with respect to a call signal when the number detection circuit 43 detects a telephone number. |
