PURPOSE:To obtain a feed for livestock, containing a mixture of one or more of galactosyldisaccharides and effective in promoting growth, increasing body weight, etc., of the livestock and further preventing various diseases. CONSTITUTION:The objective feed is obtained by adding a mixture prepared by mixing one or more of galactosyldisaccharides expressed by the formula Gal-Glc (Gal is galactose residue; Glc is glucose residue; the Gal-Glc bond is beta1 6 bond, beta1 3 bond or beta1 2 bond) or the formula Gal-Gal (in an amount of 0.5-5wt.% based on the feed to be a base material) and other additives (e.g. an amino acid or vitamins) to the feed to be the base material. |
