PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell, enabling a uniform and time-stable surface pressure to be given to the cell, enabling the life of the cell to be extended, facilitating its dimension control, and enabling its cost to be reduced. SOLUTION: This fuel cell is equipped with a power-generating reaction part (H) comprising an anode electrode 7, a cathode electrode, and an electrolyte plate interposed between the two electrodes, a seal part S layeredly disposed on the power-generating reaction part via a gas-passage forming member and sealing in a fuel gas and an oxidant gas supplied to the power-generating reaction part, and a division plate 3 for separating the fuel gas from the oxidant gas in the power-generating reaction part. Members of the power-generating reaction part H and members of the seal part S are formed of the same members, and the layered disposition of the members of the seal part S is adapted to differ from the layered disposition of the members of the power- generating reaction part. |
