摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To reduce heat loss to applied power by decreasing a instantaneous maximum power consumption in three color simultaneous thermal recording. CONSTITUTION:For a color thermal recording material, a cyan thermal coloring layer, a magenta thermal coloring layer, and a yellow thermal coloring layer are successively formed on a base material, and the more upper layer has the higher thermal recording sensitivity and is colored by the less heat energy. The color thermal recording material is thermally recorded by one pass system with three thermal heads. For thermal recording of the most upper yellow thermal coloring layer and the magenta thermal coloring layer having the next higher thermal recording sensitivity, voltage to be applied to a thermal printer is decreased to lower voltage than that in thermal recording of the cyan thermal coloring layer to carry out thermal recording. At that time cooling time is shortened within a range wherein thermal hysteresis of the thermal head does not remain and besides, gradation pulse time is lengthened. Mean resistance of a heating element can be varied instead of the voltage to be applied.</p>
